Health Movement

The Health Movement focuses on health, empowering people and providing them with tools to lead a healthy lifestyle.

The project started in 2017 and was planned to go on for 2 years. Starting in April 2018 a study was performed to test the health integrator service. The impact is lowering the risk of developing lifestyle related chronic diseases and decreasing health care costs with preventive interventions.

The project has two main building blocks to bring health to the population:

  • preparing and implementing the financial model “social impact bond” with Stockholm County Council as outcome payer and the goal of preventing diabetes type 2. Other participating countries (the Netherlands, Spain, UK and Hungary) are also investigating how to implement the model.
  • building a health service integrator – the Health Integrator – to give users access to personalized lifestyle interventions. The service has three main building blocks; screening, personal health coaching and a marketplace of health services, to bring the right tools to each individual. Measuring outcomes is also a crucial part to optimize and personalize the service and its experience.

These two parts can provide value towards one by one as well as together. Health Integrator is a complete integrated solution to provide a comprehensive overview of the workplace’s health status and support employees to better-living habits. The physical and mental well-being of employees is fundamental to a productive and sustainable organization. Supporting employees with health issues and working with prevention can be a major challenge for many organizations.

The project goal is to develop a dynamic ecosystem of community actors to prevent chronic diseases starting with the onset of and complications from diabetes. The impact is lowering the risk of developing lifestyle related chronic diseases and decreasing costs with preventive interventions.

Aim/Vision

The project goal is to develop a dynamic ecosystem of community actors to prevent chronic diseases starting with the onset of and complications from diabetes. The impact is lowering the risk of developing lifestyle related chronic diseases and decreasing costs with preventive interventions.

The main objectives are:

  • Connecting existing wellness and health services to create seamless network of health service touch points and ‘nudges’ in the citizen’s daily interactions.
  • Establish a method for screening undiagnosed patients to localize service needs.
  • Define a health index to govern the reimbursement system for service transactions – the goal is to procure a defined, measurable and valued health by issuing a contract where the value and risk is divided between the actors involved.
